Langkawi International Airport
An initiative by the then Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad to help cater to a growing number of passengers travelling to the holiday island Langkawi. The building uses minimal interior lighting and utilises daylight for lighting the interior.
The construction took almost 3 years to complete and is still in frequent use with more than 1 million passengers per annum passing through the airport. Akitek Jururancang Malaysia and AJM Interiors handled the designs.
